I love Benihana’s. In fact I have been to the ones in Dulles, Key West, and even the one in Amman, Jordan. Now I can add the Honolulu location to my dining experience.

And while I love them all very much, the one in Waikiki is great because you get to eat with people who are amazed by the onion volcano.

I usually make it a rule to never eat fish out of the back of a trailer. But in this case, I had to make an exception. I was at Lanikai Beach in Kailua, Hawaii. I was hungry, unfamiliar with local restaurants, and what the hell, they were only 6 bucks for two at the Lanikai Shrimp Shack.

They only took cash, and thankfully I had the exact change too because they couldn’t break a 10. The proceded to blacken up some fresh tuna in a skillet and they slopped those tasty chunks on two soft tortillias with some cilantro, cream sauce, lettuce, cheese and a spicy salsa. Absolutely fantastic!

I made it all the way to beautiful Waikiki beach so I had to have a tropical beverage. This plus sunset equals awesome.

This is a grilled ribeye with crabmeat lumps and a bearnaise sauce. Plus grilled asparagus and mashed potatoes with scallions. You can’t have any. I ate it all up.

This awesome dish is an appetizer at Jackson’s restaurant in Reston, VA. Deviled eggs topped with spiced pecans and sugar cured strips of bacon. What a fantastic way to start a meal!

This is my half-chicken and smoked half pound of brisket I got from Rudy’s BBQ in San Antonio, Texas. They serve it in a pepsi crate with slice of Wonder Bread. Simple and freakin’ delicious!

I’m sitting at a hotel sports bar and I notice that each barstool has a frigid disc embedded in the black granite bar. It’s the chilldisc, a patented frozen disc that keeps your suds cold. Finally there is something new in pubs to keep your beer icy cold.

I’m stuck on an airplane in Chicago because the plane has too much fuel and they have to drain it out and it takes an hour to do that. I’m hungry too. I stumbled across this pic of some awesome fish and chips I had over in Plymouth in the UK. Nom nom!

Anheuser-Busch has a great Belgian White beer that competes head on with Coors’ Blue Moon beer. A tasty beverage, great with an orange slice, and according to the Brewer, is best paired with fresh salads or Asian cuisine.

I am beginning to look forward to Thanksgiving. FoodNetwork has a Thanksgiving Turkey Breast wrapped in bacon and featuring baked pears here. I might have to give this a try!

I’m down in Orlando for a couple of days and thought this drink was epic! It has Pepar vodka, horseradish, tomato juice and is garnished with a cherry tomato and two shrimp. Yum!

I stumbled across this travesty on the Internet and thought I’d share. I think clowns are offensive, and in fact, I think if McDonald’s dropped the clown mascot the restaurant chain might be more appealing to adults. But dressing up a baby in clown makeup, even as a photoshop project is freaky, offensive and kinda sick. Of course, this is a Japanese ad.

Leave it to the King to be so helpful to let it’s patrons know which soda flavor tastes best with which whopper burger. Alas I realize I have been doing it all wrong up til now.

Found this over on Fark which linked to Insanewiches.Com here. Its the Rubik’s Cube sandwich. The Rubik’s Cube has confounded us for years. Maybe the sandwich version of this puzzling brain teaser will do the same. The Rubix Cubewich contains cubes of pastrami, kielbasa, pork fat, salami, and two types of cheddar.

Giggling and snorting, Fred and Sal backed the Wisconsin Wienermobile in and out of the garage over and over again until it got finally became stuck. As a finale, Fred threw a 5 gallon bucket of mayonnaise onto the garage floor. Sal was quoted as saying, “Man I was laughing so hard I almost peed myself. Dang!”

Homeowner Nick Krupp grumpily said, “I don’t get it. It’s just not funny.”

Down in Oz, pizza has a whole different mojo. Instead of tangy tomato sauce? Yummy BBQ sauce. And on top of that sauce are 8 different piles of chunky meat, including lamb.
