No Easy Solutions for Haiti

From Slavery to the French abuse of the islanders, Haiti has had a rough go of it. Western intervention doesn’t help either, and shows that it worsens the situation. What makes them so different than the Domincan Republic which is a gorgeous nation with a vibrant culture and people? This video goes deep into the historical differences between the nations of Hispaniola, and the video essay is well researched. One thing I know for certain, however. Haitians need to just grab some shovels and clean, clean, clean. Nothing will bring back pride to a desperate people than pride in where one lives.
