Pwn3d by Camel
I seem to be blogging some themes this week- text message suicide attempts and pet hoarders who get pummeled by their creatures. Well, here is another story of an “animal lover” who was killed by their pet. And while I thought getting squished by a camel was something rare, only needing to be blogged about once, I was wrong. Perhaps it is more common than thought.
Pam Weaver of Australia joins Cathie Ake in having the singular distinction of “turning on” a camel, causing it to knock her to the ground, and be dry-humped to death. Get it? Humped to death? Ha!
From the BBC here:
A woman in Australia has been killed by her pet camel after the animal may have tried to have sex with her. The woman was found dead at the family’s sheep and cattle ranch near the town of Mitchell in Queensland.
The woman had been given the camel as a 60th birthday present earlier this year because of her love of exotic pets. The camel was just 10 months old but already weighed 152kg (336lbs) and had come close to suffocating the family’s pet goat on a number of occasions.
On Saturday, the woman apparently became the object of the male camel’s desire. It knocked her to the ground, lay on top of her and displayed what the police delicately described as possible mating behaviour.
The Courier Mail goes on to describe Pam Weaver as a “Jillaroo.”
A WOMAN killed by her pet camel had been a jillaroo and a veterinary nurse who was experienced with animals, according to her husband.
Noel Weaver said his wife Pam had been a jack of all trades on the family property, doing housework, managing the books and helping with stockwork.
A jillaroo is a female cowboy in down-under lingo. Now Ms. Weaver has become Carbon Neutral.
This article is shockingly similar to the previous camel-squishing story I blogged. Listen folks, if someone gives you a camel for a gift, they may be trying to kill you.
