Chick-Fil-A Hater Now On Foodstamps

Remember Adam Smith? He used to be the Chief Financial Officer of Vante, a corporation in the Tucson area. He berated a Chick-Fil-A employee to make a viral video that got himself fired. Now destitute, Adam has been forced to move into an RV with his family and go on welfare and foodstamps. But he has no regrets!

A former business exec who slammed Chick-fil-A in a viral video has fallen on to hard times, going on food stamps and moving his wife and kids into an RV.

The original incident happened in the summer of 2012, when Chick-fil-A was taking heat for its stance on gays. Adam Smith, a financial exec at a medical device company, filmed video as he pulled into a Chick-fil-A drive thru and berated the employee who took his order.

“Chick-fil-A is a hateful corporation,” Smith told the employee. “I don’t know how you live with yourself and work here. I don’t understand it.”

While there were many speaking out against the fast food chain at the time, the former exec said the blowback to his Chick-fil-A stunt was immediate.

Smith’s employment didn’t last through the end of that day, losing his $200,000 annual salary as well as the $1 million he had in stock options.

Things have gotten worse since then. Smith moved his family, including wife and four kids, into an RV. He eventually found a new job as a CFO, but was fired two weeks later when his boss found the Chick-fil-A video.

Oddly enough, the exec who slammed Chick-fil-A and ended up on food stamps doesn’t regret the stance he took, but says he wishes he went about it a little differently.

Being a liberal means never having to say sorry. And lying on a job application doesn’t pan out well either. He should have been up front with his new CEO and told him he was the man who made a really dumb mistake that he regrets deeply and won’t he please let him have a chance to prove himself? But naw, don’t ever say sorry.
