New Black Friday Tradition
For years we spent the day after Thanksgiving in Reston Town Center watching Santa and Mrs. Claus stop by and light the big Christmas tree. This was our first Black Friday outside of Reston so we had to come up with a new plan that didn’t involve insane people and shopping. So now we go to all of the Disney resorts to see the Gingerbread houses and features, and they even have collectible pins for these resorts.
The day involved Monorail trips, but no crazed shoppers! And we capped the night at Epcot and learned about the Santas from around the world- and our favorite was Julinessen in Norway. His backstory is that he is a prankster woodsman who breaks into your barn at night.
So we miss the old traditions, but love the new ones we are making!
There’s nothing better than a Santa who has some mad B&E skillz!
Agreed!
