You Burn Witches- Not Hammer Them

Carlos Amarillo was convinced that his girlfriend and her daughter had cast voodoo spells on him, so naturally, he murdered them both by bludgeoning their heads with a hammer. That is the last spell these witchy women will cast!

A Queens man has been charged with bludgeoning his girlfriend and her daughter to death inside their home Wednesday morning.

Cops say 44-year-old Carlos Amarillo called 911 just after midnight saying, “Two females are dead, they were assassinated, hurry, they are dead. I killed them because they are witches, I want the police to kill me. I killed them with a hammer.”

When cops arrived to the scene, Amarillo was allegedly walking out of the home on 87th Street in East Elmhurst, clutching a bible and saying, “I killed them, I killed them.”

Inside, 56-year-old Estrella Castoneda and her daughter, 25-year-old Lina Castoneda dead were found dead. A hammer was found on the floor next to one of the bodies.

The seven-year-old daughter of Lina was taken from the apartment unharmed.

Amarillo allegedly told investigators that the two women were casting voodoo spells on him.

He has been charged with two counts of first degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
