Indian Villagers Doing It Wrong: BURN Witches, AXE Zombies

I don’t know much about life in India. But in rural India, in a little town called Gumla, they still kill witches. But these Indian bastards are doing it all wrong. In the most recent case, the villagers got together and drove an axe blade into the suspected witch’s head. No, no, no. You BURN witches. You hit zombies in the head with an axe.

A man was killed allegedly for practising witchcraft in Gumla town late on Friday. Some villagers have left the village after the incident.

Police said the deceased, identified as Jagdish Oraon, was a resident of Bangu village, around 8 km from the town. He used to work in a dairy farm at DSP road locality of the town.

When he was returning home on Friday evening, he was attacked by some fellow villagers, who hit him with an axe killing him on the spot.

Recently, children of Ghura Oraon’ family had fallen ill. He thought Jagdish had done some kind of black magic on the children, said police.

But those cops in India are wired for the 21st century. They have a Police blotter and crime statistics page that tracks just how many witches are murdered year over year. How many? More than were ever killed in the history of America.
