Duck Commander Founder Excoriated by Gays for Pointing Out That Homosexuality is Illogical
The founder of Duck Commander, a wildly popular duck call, and a star of the A&E reality series Duck Dynasty told GQ in a recent interview that it was illogical to be gay. He then listed several religious tenets that back up his assertion. Now GLAAD is accusing him of not being a Christian and wants to silence the Duck Dynasty TV show because hatred.

Phil Robertson, one of the stars of the A&E reality show and founder of Duck Commander, made the comments in a recent interview with GQ.
“It seems like, to me, a vagina – as a man – would be more desirable than a man’s anus. That’s just me,” Robertson stated. “I’m just thinking: There’s more there! She’s got more to offer. I mean, come on, dudes! You know what I’m saying? But hey, sin: It’s not logical, my man. It’s just not logical.”
“We never, ever judge someone on who’s going to heaven, hell. That’s the Almighty’s job,” Robertson told GQ. “We just love ‘em, give ‘em the good news about Jesus – whether they’re homosexuals, drunks, terrorists. We let God sort ‘em out later.”
GLAAD slammed Robertson’s comments, calling them “vile.”
“Phil and his family claim to be Christian, but Phil’s lies about an entire community fly in the face of what true Christians believe,” GLAAD spokesperson Wilson Cruz said in a statement. “He clearly knows nothing about gay people or the majority of Louisianans – and Americans – who support legal recognition for loving and committed gay and lesbian couples. Phil’s decision to push vile and extreme stereotypes is a stain on A&E and his sponsors who now need to reexamine their ties to someone with such public disdain for LGBT people and families.”
So there are going to be a lot of gay protests against A&E just like the protests against Chick-Fil-A. And I predict A&E will crumble and give into the obnoxiously loud, eternally aggrieved gay coalition. Because making a distinction saying that a man’s asshole is the same as a woman’s vagina is somehow wrong, even though it is absolutely correct. Who makes a better duck call? Duck Commander, or Wilson Cruz blowing into his boyfriend’s asshole?
You know what’s truly disgusting? They took his comments, most assuredly out of context, and Gaylord (Wilson Cruz, Lord of the Gays) perverts the few lines they chose to print, and he also wrangles the words from the Bible, much like a terrorist perverts the Qu’ran to get others to blow themselves up for Allah. What the Bible says… clearly, I might add… is that homosexuality is wrong. It also says, judge not lest ye be judged and therefore, we should be accepting to these people and overlook this unnatural behavior in otherwise fabulous people.
Tolerance and overlooking such deviance (meaning nothing more than a deviation from normal) does not in any way, shape, or form change the plain and simple fact that it’s scientifically illogical. Any animal, human or otherwise, was designed to procreate with the opposite sex… with very few exceptions within the animal kingdom. We can leave the Bible out of this. The gays should be allowed to have Civil Unions. Gays should be afforded all the ups and downs, rights and privileges that normal people are afforded and, I might add, we should all demand from the government those rights on their behalf. However… that still doesn’t make homosexuality logical, or even normal… and it most assuredly doesn’t make it scientifically feasible for the continuation of a species… That plain, simple, glaring fact cannot be undone despite all the rhetoric to the contrary…
Very well said. Choosing not to procreate is becoming more and more common today. And, for various reasons. I know childless couples that are just fine without having had kids. Condeleezza Rice is one of the most fascinating and intelligent women to have served public office, and she forwent having children. And of course gay couples just simply can’t have children, but their union is one of choice. In each of these examples I’d argue that the decisions have led to sadness both in life and in the soul. Is that sadness logical?
But for gay men, that sadness would seem quite compounded if your partner was sticking things up your ass. “Hey, no kids, but this reaming is quite something, eh Trevor?”
