Last Snow Day

Here is to hoping that this is the last snow day we have to experience as a family in Virginia. Luckily we had stocked up on all the essentials- beer, wine, firewood, coffee and snacks- and we didn’t have to leave the house today and risk the slick roads.

With less than a week before the movers empty our home we’ve had for the past ten years, we are down to living off of red solo cups, plastic cutlery, paper plates and Styrofoam coffee cups. While stuck indoors, we packed away most if not all of our dishes, cookware and other essentials. Basically, we are living like refugees in our near-empty home, and in a way we are loving the togetherness.

Plus, the boy got to play in the snow one last time.
