Newark Ranks Just Above Islamabad for Shittiest City in the World

Way to go Newark! I know you worked really hard to earn the title as the second shittiest city in the world. You’re number 2!

Newark often gets a bad rap, but now it’s official: the New Jersey city has been ranked the most unfriendly city on the planet, ahead of Islamabad, Pakistan.
According to a report in the Conde Nast Traveler, “Newark is best known for being the site of an airport near New York, and for many of our readers, that’s the only reason to stop there.”

“I visited Newark on business and would not recommend this city for anything, except a cheaper/less busy airport to fly into while visiting other cities,” one reader said.
Some readers complained of the local crowd, saying tourists are bound to run into “a lot of rude people there.”

The magazine also selected its 10 friendliest and 10 unfriendliest cities in the U.S. for this year and placed Branson, Mo., at the top of the friendly list. Newark, of course, was the loser.
“Perhaps they should take that up with one of Newark’s most famous sons, Gov. Chris Christie, whose birthplace in September 1962 was in that same city of Newark,” the Newark Patch responded.

This city is indeed the dirty taint of the United States. Full of dingleberries and klingons.
