Trayvon Martin Had it Coming

George Zimmerman was put on trial for defending himself against a young hoodlum who tried to kill him. The justice system determined that Zimmerman did not commit any crimes by defending himself and he was acquitted of all criminal wrongdoing. The obverse of these facts is that Trayvon Martin had it coming. Martin attacked a man that ultimately proved to be a huge mistake.

From CNN here:

George Zimmerman never denied shooting Trayvon Martin, but he said he did so in self defense. Late Saturday night, a Florida jury found him not guilty in the teenager’s death.
The verdict caps a case that has inflamed passions for well over a year, much of it focused on race.
The six jurors — all of them women — deliberated for 16½ hours. Five of the women are white; one is a minority.

When he heard his fate, Zimmerman had little visible reaction. He turned and shook the hand of one of his attorneys before sitting back down, smiling only after court was adjourned.

Martin’s parents, Tracy Martin and Sybrina Fulton, were not in the courtroom when the decision was announced. But they shared their emotions on Twitter shortly afterward.

“Even though I am broken hearted my faith is unshattered I WILL ALWAYS LOVE MY BABY TRAY,” Tracy Martin tweeted.

Maybe if Baby Tray’s parents had been, oh I don’t know, a bit more INSTRUCTIVE with their parenting they wouldn’t have a dead child. Trayvon was a problem child at school and was fast-tracked to a life of crime. He picked the wrong man to continue his history of assault against. His death while sad, seemed inevitable given his choices he made.

Just remember, the next time someone tries to mug you on the street, don’t fight back or they can shoot you and claim self-defense.

  • You’re a moron incapable of thinking logically about anything. You are trying to claim that Zimmerman was mugging Trayvon? People are entitled to defend themselves in this country and everywhere else in the world smart guy.

  • Endersdragon

Yea, because people with 3 years MMA experience, on drugs causing paranoia and aggression (amazing how you never covered that one), who have assaulted cops (and don’t tell me you believe someone who we all know has committed perjury at least once over a cop) and wives (ditto) obviously needs to be first in line to get a gun to defend themselves. I am not saying he was trying to mug Trayvon, I am just saying if someone was to try to mug someone (without witnesses) and shot the target when the target fought back, what is to keep them from claiming “stand your ground”?

  • Your inability to understand anything must really inhibit your success at your age. Zimmerman has the same rights to own a gun that you do. Armed robbery that results in murder is a capital offense and in most states, punishable by death. This was not a stand your ground case. He was tried on 2nd degree murder and manslaughter, and the state failed to prove its case, so he was found innocent and can maintain his right to own a firearm. Funny, all your accusations that he had a history of assault never came out in trial, probably because its not true.

If there is no witnesses how do you prove the armed robbery, therefore how do you prove the murder? I also don’t believe people who assault cops should be given concealed carry permits (and no, I have never assaulted a police officer). Beyond that, wasn’t Casey Anthony also from Florida? Let me guess, you thought her kids had it coming.

  • There are things called detective work and forensics. There were witnesses to the Martin/Zimmerman altercation too. And funny, there was no evidence presented in court talking about Zimmerman assaulting cops. But keep saying it; it might come true. I was disappointed in the Casey Anthony verdict too, but a trial is a trial. The jury had its say. And no, moron, that kid did not follow a series of bad decisions to get herself murdered like Trayvon did. You are completely incapable of using logic, aren’t you?

No witnesses saw how it began or ended, and other than someone saying help, we really don’t know what was said in the altercation. As dead men tell no tales, all we have is Zimmerman’s word about what happened throughout the fight, someone who we know committed perjury at least once before the trial. Other than that all we know is that he didn’t think his injuries warranted a trip to the hospital right away (despite his saying that he had his head bashed against concrete 12 times), and that one person thought they saw Trayvon on top at one point in the fight (which I learned how to get someone off of me in my first night of jujitsu, which Zimmerman had been taking for 3 years). Let me ask you, if you had your head bashed against the concrete 12 times, would you go to the emergency room?

Zimmerman didn’t testify, otherwise you can be assured they would have asked a question about his altercation with cops. As it was, it would have been very hard to get such evidence in through the backdoor. If you want to know more just go to: http://myclerk.myorangeclerk.com/default.aspx, and type in his name and birthday: 10/05/1983. It will clearly say he was charged with both domestic violence and assaulting a police officer (which had the charge deduced).

P.S. There isn’t much point to continuing this conversation. You clearly think Zimmerman is a saint despite the fact that he assaulted policemen, lied under oath, and beat up his wife (who probably also had it coming); and think such a person just really isn’t that trustworthy to get the whole story from. So don’t bother commenting again.

  • You keep trying to assign crimes to Zimmerman that did not come out as real evidence during the trial. And as far as witnesses and evidence, there was tons of forensics performed that the jury took into consideration as fact. You are butthurt because, as you always do, you pick failed evil and wrong over successful, good and right everytime. You can choose to walk around retarded, weak and unwilling to defend yourself. Easy pickings for “kids” like Trayvon.

My reason for convicting George Michael Zimmerman of negligent homicide THOUGH HE POSSIBLY ACTED IN SELF-DEFENSE is because as a security guard he did not follow rules which he was supposed to know when he was trained for this job and he should’ve ended pursuit when asked to and let cops take it from there. Yes, the jury did what they believe is right verdict. But his situation would’ve been avoided if he had waited for the cops to arrive and he knew this as a security guard. George M. Zimmerman once wanted to be a cop but my guess is a reason he wasn’t hired is because he acts on his own & doesn’t believe in teamwork. The prosecutor overcharged him and what they should’ve done is argue to jury that once the dispatcher told George M. Zimmerman not to follow Trayvon B. Martin, he should’ve stopped.

My reason for believing it’s negligent homicide is because the incident would’ve been avoided if George M. Zimmerman had waited for the cops to arrive and take care of Trayvon B. Martin and as George M. Zimmerman’s a security guard night watchman, he is held to higher care standard. George M. Zimmerman did not do that and instead acted on his own which he had no right to do. The prosecutor should’ve told jury that these are the rules security guards are to follow and George M. Zimmerman violated them. But prosecutor poorly tried this case by overcharging and while this was not Murder 2, George M. Zimmerman was negligent. George M. Zimmerman seems like an arrogant person & he has since the acquittal gotten into trouble with accusations of domestic violence though he was not prosecuted for assault and battery in those cases as prosecution thought proof was insufficient. Yes, it’s possible that George M. Zimmerman was falsely accused of domestic violence. Yes the verdict in the murder trial was made and jury did what they believed is right verdict. I do believe that George M. Zimmerman should have been convicted of negligent homicide but I also do not fault the jury for acquitting him because the prosecutor did a poor job.
