Why The Fascination With the Zombie Apocalypse?
I saw World War Z this weekend and I liked it, despite the fact that it butchered many key things in Max Brooks’ awesome book. Fast zombies, the near-immediate transformation, and the immunity due to sickness were all things that moved the story in the movie along, but wildly diverged from the book’s plotline. In fact, someone could still make a World War Z movie that was true to the book. This movie could be like a prequel and the interviews with the survivors, on which the book is based, could still take place later.
