Bitter Barista Doxxed and Fired
In case you needed more proof that hipsters who pay seven bucks for a stupid cup of coffee are joyless self-righteous cretins, you need only look as far as the recent outing and firing of a blogger in Seattle who got himself fired for his “Bitter Barista” blog where he mercilessly trolled his idiot customers and boss. Matt Watson, the blog’s author was outed by his bitter haters, resulting in a job loss.

The anonymous “Bitter Barista” blog is no more. Due to the fact the author of the blog is no longer anonymous, and after getting canned for attacking customers and his boss, is no longer a barista.
The Seattle coffee shop worker been named online as 30-year-old Matt Watson. Watson lost his job at Georgetown’s All City Coffee this week after being outed by coffee gossip website Sprudge.com.
Set up just two weeks ago, the blog took aim at clients and co-workers – criticizing their quirky caffeine habits and exacting demands.
Watson, who insists the blog was “tongue-in-cheek” wrote posts such as “What a coincidence! You have a gluten allergy, and I don’t care that you have a gluten allergy!”
He also wrote, “If you remind me four times that you’ve ordered decaf, guess what you won’t be getting.”
And talking about his boss, Watson wrote, “I like to use a lot of big words when I tweet, that way if my boss ever finds my twitter account, he won’t understand any of it.”
Watson says he hopes to publish a Bitter Barista coffee-table book now that he has some free time.
But the tone of the site, which attracted thousands of hits, did not sit well with Sprudge.com’s Zachary Carlsen and Jordan Michelman, who decided to name and shame him after discovering his identity.
“There’s a lot of anger in this blog,” they wrote on their site. “While we love the well-worn barista cliche, it should be the stuff of mild parody, not an all-out assault on whomever walks through the door of your cafe.”
The Portland duo also said it was a schoolboy error that outed Watson – as he had linked a Twitter account for his hip hop act Spekulation to the scathing words.
Watson’s boss didn’t find the humor in any of his posts.
It led Watson’s boss Seth Levy to dismiss him from his post, where he earned $15 per hour and had worked for two-and-half-years.
And he said the future is looking far from bitter – claiming he has received offers of work from other coffee shops and hopes to publish a Bitter Barista coffee-table book.
This just shows leftists have no tolerance for humor they find distasteful. The name of the game for them is to out, name and shame to force conformity with their own worldview. God forbid a humorist points out that self-absorbed latte drinkers are insufferable pricks. And by them getting Watson fired proves his point. I hope he does well with his coffee table book and also hope he gets a better job than a mere barista.
