Journalist Who Published List of Gun Owners Gets Doxxed
A Gannet newspaper published the names and addresses of every handgun owner in two state counties in New York. The release and publication of personally identifiable information is illegal under federal law, but apparently not illegal in the state of New York for information held and maintained by the state. Using this data leak, the newspaper published the names and mapped their locations on an online resource. Now criminals who want to acquire a handgun illegally has the means to track owners of weapons so they can burglarize their homes.
In the wake of this release, the article’s writer, Dwight R Worley, had his information published on a website. The screencap is above. The alinsky tactics of exposing people for ridicule works both ways, right Dwight?
Do you have the right to know how many guns are in a neighbor’s home or is it private? lohud.us/UTsG9s #newtown #sandyhook #lohud

UPDATE: Editor Cyndee Royle now Doxxed too. Screencap below via ChristopherFountain.
Additionally, it looks like most staffers of the paper have been outed at this point.
