Is Social Security a Ponzi Scheme?

I’m beginning to hit my mid forties. I’m under no illusion, as one of the first of the Generation Xers, that there will be any social security cash for me when it comes to my retirement. I will have to work until the day I die to provide for myself. Oh, I used to have cash in a 401k and other stocks, but thanks to Obama, that is gone now too. But Rick Perry, governor or Texas and now candidate for President, has declared over and over again that social security is a ponzi scheme.

The only difference is that participants are compelled at gunpoint to participate. “Gunpoint!” you declare? Yes, gunpoint. Just try to tell the Feds that you aren’t paying your social security taxes anymore and wait until they protest. They will put a gun in your face and then you go to jail like Wesley Snipes. Anyways, Stephen Crowder reported social security to the SEC as a ponzi scheme.
