The Boy Wanted Candy

After reading this, I’m gonna start hiding my car keys. Cartney has a sweet tooth and is ballsy enough to try this.

Police are investigating how a 5-year-old boy managed to drive his mother’s minivan into a pole early this morning while on his way to buy candy.

The boy crashed the van into a pole at around 1 a.m. near Copia and Altura streets in Central El Paso. When police arrived at the scene, the boy apparently tried to run away but officers were able to catch him.

He told officers he was driving to a nearby store to buy candy.

This kid has good instincts, and perhaps his own money. So he got into the car, started it, drove it down the street, and then maintained enough sense to try to flee capture by the cops.
