A Wedding, A Birth, A Birthday and Father’s Day- Ingredients for a Magical Weekend

This weekend was a truly magical weekend. The family went to the Shenandoah Valley for a wedding for some dear friends of ours. The bride was spectacular and beautiful.

Saturday night was finished off on the back deck with some outstanding wine.

Addison entered the world Saturday night and she is just gorgeous. Congrats to Dan and Mary!

This morning entailed a great trip to the zoo where Dads got half off admission for Father’s Day, and Cartney got to ride a pony and learned that the best thing about Canadian Geese is when you sneak up on them and pinch them on the tail! Geese invariably leap and honk, but the looks on their black and white faces is priceless!

Sunday wrapped up with a fantasy birthday party for a 4 year old boy, his four year old cousin and his two year old kid brother- It was a backyard pool party, with burgers and dogs, followed by sunset firefly hunting, which was followed by cake and finally, a fireworks display in the backyard with sparklers and snap-n-pops.
