Boom! HeadShot! Osama Gets Capped

Osama Bin Laden is dead. There are loads of conflicting reports that he was killed in an airstrike, but much of the latest information says that he was assassinated by a CIA agent in a mansion just 75 miles from Pakistan’s capital.

And WTF Pakistan? You were protecting him, it looks like.

Osama bin Laden, the glowering mastermind behind the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks that killed thousands of Americans, was killed in an operation led by the United States, President Barack Obama said Sunday.

A small team of Americans killed bin Laden in a firefight at a compound in Pakistan, the president said in a dramatic late-night statement at the White House.

George Bush issues a statement on his Facebook page:

Earlier this evening, President Obama called to inform me that American forces killed Osama bin Laden, the leader of the al Qaeda network that attacked America on September 11, 2001. I congratulated him and the men and women of our military and intelligence communities who devoted their lives to this mission. They have our everlasting gratitude. This momentous achievement marks a victory for America, for people who seek peace around the world, and for all those who lost loved ones on September 11, 2001. The fight against terror goes on, but tonight America has sent an unmistakable message: No matter how long it takes, justice will be done.

People are outside in the streets lighting fireworks. Crowds are dancing in the streets in DC. A great night, but this does not end the war on Terror. We need to get the rest of the bastards who plotted to kill Americans and now we should add the bastards who were protecting Bin Laden in Pakistan to that list of enemies.

UPDATE: Looking over my archives, I came across this older story I forgot I had posted. Remember the California Construction worker that was going to hunt down Osama in northern Pakistan? He might have been right in knowing his location.
