New TSA Lunacy- Double Checking Your Boarding Pass

Its been about a month since I’ve had to be groped by TSA losers and I was surprised by a new twist on the same routine. It used to be that they would check your boarding pass and ID just once before you proceed to the groping line- now you are yelled at to keep your boarding pass out.

I kept mine crumpled in my pocket and was asked for it by the guard as he was about to pat me down. He grabbed it from my hand, unfolded it and then read it out loud to me- including my name, destination, flight number and flight time and boarding gate. He didn’t wait for me to respond to any of this and didn’t care that I just glowered at his stupid ass the entire time. After he was done reading aloud he gave me the patriot grope and let me go on to my gate.

There is absolutely zero benefit security-wise to do this additional boarding pass check unless- you are being recorded.

The would-be burger flipper turned TSA agent read the words too loudly for my close proximity, so he really wasn’t reading it for my benefit. He was reading it so the audio on the CC TV cameras could hear my credentials and travelling information.
