Ontario Parents Think WiFi Makes Kids Sick
A group of Ontario parents are blaming the school system’s Wi-Fi networks for making their precious snowflakes sick. And they trot out notorious Wi-Fi illness huckster Susan Clarke to pitch their case. Of course regular Canadians and anyone with common sense think Susan Clarke and these parents in Barrie, Ontario are complete morons. This photo shows a Barrie Ontario parent.
From CBC here, with noted lack of any scientific reporting:
A group of central Ontario parents is demanding their children’s schools turn off wireless internet before they head back to school next month, fearing the technology is making the kids sick.
Some parents in the Barrie, Ont., area say their children are showing a host of symptoms, ranging from headaches to dizziness and nausea and even racing heart rates.
The parents complain they can’t get the Simcoe County school board or anyone else to take their concerns seriously, even though the children’s symptoms all disappear on weekends when they aren’t in school.
Susan Clarke, a former research consultant to the Harvard School of Public Health, said Wi-Fi technology alters fundamental physiological functioning and can cause neurological and cardiac symptoms.
“We have statistics that show that children, especially young children, are going to absorb much more radiation than older children and adults because of their thinner skulls and because the size of their brains more closely approximates the size of the wavelength being deployed,” Clarke said.
Wireless technology also wastes energy, is less secure than wired connections, could be violating a student’s right to a safe environment and should be turned off in schools, Clarke added.
“The simple solution is plug back in the wired, ported system that’s already there and unplug the wireless,” she said. “It’s real easy and it costs nothing. In fact, it will save money.”
Susan Clarke is riding the coattails of her Harvard resume. She was probably fired from there for her hairbrained ideas about health and wireless and cellular technologies. She managed to circulate a petition when she worked there to have Sprint PCS conduct more studies, but the petition was properly and promptly ignored as it should have been. In fact, she used to bill herself as an “environmental activist”, big shock right? And she has been quoted as some type of expert in the arena of health and wireless by leftist news outlets ever since. In fact, she is good buddies with the whackjob Arthur Firstenberg, who was suing his neighbors for using their iPhones.
The article also goes on to quote other school professors that try to spread the lie that this technology is harmful when all of the real science proves it is not. Berkeley spread this falsehood too. How can Ivy League schools fail so completely when it comes to science? Oh yeah, Ivy League schools are havens for rich leftist retards.
