Mel Gibson Might Be Right About Oksana

I have listened to all of the Mel Gibson tapes that were recorded phone calls between Mel and his young ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva. If you haven’t heard them, you can check them all out at RadarOnline.Com.

To state the obvious, Mel has become unhinged and he was in an outright rage against Oksana, threatening to cut her off from his support, and even threatening violence.

But what you don’t hear is important in these exchanges. Oksana was deliberately provoking these outbursts with the intention of eventually leaking these recordings in an ultimate game of revenge to destroy his career, his reputation, and to take as much money from him in damages and child support as possible. In short, she was deliberately ruining his life, and Mel knew it.

If you listen to the recordings with this in mind it begins to paint a different picture of Mel. Instead of the crazed man most people hear abusing an innocent young woman, you begin to hear a man confronting his worst fears and having problems reconciling all of his past mistakes which have led to his present circumstances. Mel’s life is crashing down around him and he knows it. And Oksana is the cause and the focus of his blame.

Mel left his last wife and family for this young woman, and tried to finance her ridiculous music career, and now Mel has a serious case of buyer’s remorse. He is angry with himself for that mistake as much as Oksana for taking advantage of his generosity. And now that Oksana has essentially used the nuclear option against him by provoking these telephone conversations with the intent of taping him and releasing the tapes, Mel’s life as he knew it is forever over. I don’t feel sorry for Oksana. She will be richer than Mel once this is all over.
