Health and Human Services Squelching Free Speech

Humana Healthcare was forced to stop informing customers that the Obama Healthcare plan would create new limitations on their current Medicare benefits. The HHS department is investigating Humana’s mailing as a crime, although to do so is a clear violation of the company’s first amendment rights.

Senator Mitch McConnell spoke out against this on the Senate floor:

As HotAir says,

Only an administration that thinks of American citizens as children would think that we cannot weigh the facts and come to our own conclusions. Arrogance is a mild term indeed for this incident, especially given Douglas Elmendorf’s testimony that completely corroborated Humana’s mailers.

It is so important that the Democrats undo our healthcare system they want to make it a crime to speak against it.
