The Last 5 Years Have Been the Best Evah!

I don’t often write about my personal life, but as of Sunday, it has been five years since I have known Jess, my wife. She caught my attention when she was being brutally critical of someone who I thought really deserved it, and I was instantly attracted to her.   (go figure!)  At last, I thought, someone who was unafraid of speaking her mind!

I would love to say that she was the girl of my dreams, but my dreams are neither that vivid nor that good. She is not my better half- but in most ways, my best half. As a stay at home Mom she excels at her craft and creates a family home any man would be proud of. We have the uncanny ability to read each others’ minds, facial expressions, and we often complete each others’ sentences. There is no guessing between us if one another is distressed or upset- We know it and are able to compensate for the others’ bad feelings. Usually it only takes one of us to be in a good mood to infect the other with good vibes and glad feelings. She is my inspiration, and was the one who encouraged me to start blogging.

What a wonderful 5 years together! Jess is an avid reader and lurker on this blog, so I know she will read this. I’ll be home soon, Honey!
