Astronaut Harrison Schmitt Calls BS on Global Warming
When they needed an expert on Earth’s geology and sciences to go to the moon to figure out how exactly the moon got there in the first place, NASA turned to a scientist Harrison Schmitt for the answers. Eventually Schmitt walked on the moon himself, and he was the last to do so.
Schmitt recently quit the Planetary Society, a non-profit group dedicated to exploring outer space because the Planetary Society adopted a policy claiming global warming was a man-made event.

Schmitt resigned after the group blamed global warming on human activity. In his resignation letter, the 74-year-old geologist argued that the “global warming scare is being used as a political tool to increase government control over American lives, incomes and decision making.”
“Not that the planet hasn’t warmed. We know it has or we’d all still be in the Ice Age,” he said. “But it has not reached a crisis proportion and, even among us skeptics, there’s disagreement about how much man has been responsible for that warming.”
Schmitt said historical documents indicate average temperatures have risen by 1 degree per century since around 1400 A.D., and the rise in carbon dioxide is because of the temperature rise.
Schmitt also said geological evidence indicates changes in sea level have been going on for thousands of years. He said smaller changes are related to changes in the elevation of land masses — for example, the Great Lakes are rising because the earth’s crust is rebounding from being depressed by glaciers.
More and more scientists are beginning to speak against the myth of man-made global warming, and that is good news. Some day soon, hypocritcal leftists will begin to deny that they ever believed in the nonsense in the first place.

You go to far, calling leftists hypocritical,… without relating it to this argument. Of course leftists are hypocritical. But your otherwise excellent points here are detracted by a unsubstantiated claim.
But thanks for the link to the BeanHerald. I’ve been searching this Schmitt statement and have mostly found vapid radio site cites of a limited AP wire report.

Maybe I wasn’t making my point clearly. I meant that when the whole Global Warming phenomena turns out to be a giant myth, all of the leftists that had been going along with it will deny they ever believed it in the first place.
