New Beowulf Movie Looks Awesome

Its been a while since I have been excited about a movie. All the stupid antiwar dreck appearing on the silver screen pumped out of Hollywood’s unimaginative elite makes me glad there is a writer’s strike going on. But Beowulf is going to be different.

First, its written for the screen by Neil Gaiman, a great comic book author and fantasy writer. And Gaiman is aided by Roger Avary, who put Pulp Fiction on the screen. And its directed and produced by Robert Zemeckis. The movie is completely digital, but its made to be enjoyed in 3D, especially on IMAX.

Angelina Jolie is digitally recreated as Grendel’s evil mother, and she gets nude. She has forbidden her adopted kids from seeing the movie because she is afraid of “screwing them up.” Yeah, like that movie will push them over the edge.
