It is very rare that any .com company is able to generate any buzz about television ad campaigns. The Yahoo! commercials from a few years ago were good. The current Ebay commercials where people viciously compete for a trinket or bauble is pretty cool too. But those are Internet Giants. But a little company that sells credit monitoring services has the best ads. I already posted once about the Pirate Restaurant ad here. Here is the second in the campaign, and its not only hilarious, but offers sound advice to people that are planning on getting married. Get a credit check. Once you are married, you inherit the bride’s or groom’s credit. You don’t want the “for worse” part of the vows to start right away. And in some states, bad credit is grounds for an annulment.

ugh since when is a credit score an important value in deciding whether or not you want to marry someone?? last time i checked a marriage is not really about money its about caring for the other person, isn’t it??

Love is indeed the most important thing about a marriage, however, the inability to buy a home, a new car, or get a credit card for emergencies because your spouse didn’t reveal that he or she skipped out on some old debts is grounds for divorce in most states.
