Earthbound Mural

I’m back from the wedding and was going through the photos I took and came across this really cool one I snapped in Old Town Frederick, MD.  Its a mural on a wall entitled “Earthbound” and it depicts an aging angel looking outwards from his window. 

The colors and shading make this look very realistic, and the subject is thought provoking.

That was the first time I had visited Frederick, and I would enjoy going back.  The downtown area is very charming, and about twice the size of Old Town Alexandria, Virginia.  The shopping district is full of bistros, pubs, and curio shops.  They even had a double feature of the Marx Brothers playing at the theater.  I am definitely putting that town down for an overnight getaway destination.
