MySpace Kid Flattens Tires for Global Warming
“Im fighting global warming,” said Seth Hicks, 8 years old and self-proclaimed as world’s youngest blogger. “The air in those tires are fresher than the air outside today, since they were pumped in during a time that the earth was cleaner, like back in 2003. Plus, cars won’t run and pollute the air with carbon if tires are flattened.”
Seth Hicks’ campaign of tire flattening took place in his own neighborhood of Oak Heights overnight, leaving 35 cars and SUV’s stranded in their driveways. Seth had unscrewed the caps on the air stems and used a pencil to let the air out. Neighbors were angry about being stranded, including some medical professionals. Portable air compressers were used to get most of the vehicles operable again before noon.
Seth explained on his blog at www.myspace.com/mommydontknow that he is still trying to earn his “Caring Challenge” badge for the cub scouts, and he is confident that this campaign of eco-jihad would do the trick.
His scouting leader and other community members were not happy with Seth’s attempts to earn a new merit badge. In fact, some neighbors called the police department to report the criminal mischief and Seth’s court date on those charges is scheduled for sometime in October.
“I’m convinced that I was right about this. Maybe the judge will see it my way,” he wrote yesterday on his blog on Myspace. “Besides, even if I took 35 cars off the road for just a day, the impact to the environment must be good.”
