Global Warming Has No Consensus
In fact, more scientists now agree that with global warming skeptics than agree that mankind is causing global warming. Over 500 modern papers on climate change were reviewed, and only one of them said that mankind was behind global warming and it would lead to catastrophic effect on the planet.
From DailyTech here:
Of 528 total papers on climate change, only 38 (7%) gave an explicit endorsement of the consensus. If one considers “implicit” endorsement (accepting the consensus without explicit statement), the figure rises to 45%. However, while only 32 papers (6%) reject the consensus outright, the largest category (48%) are neutral papers, refusing to either accept or reject the hypothesis. This is no “consensus.”
The figures are even more shocking when one remembers the watered-down definition of consensus here. Not only does it not require supporting that man is the “primary” cause of warming, but it doesn’t require any belief or support for “catastrophic” global warming. In fact of all papers published in this period (2004 to February 2007), only a single one makes any reference to climate change leading to catastrophic results.
Quick Al Gore. Go put on another concert.
Ten years from now VH-1 is going to do a show called “I Love the Oughts” about pop culture in the first decade of the 21st century. In it there will be comedians and pop stars laughing at everyone who was wearing those stupid Croc shoes and all those people who thought Man was killing the environment with CO2.
I am wondering if those ninnies who still believe in manmade global warming will feel foolish for having believed in it? I don’t think they will be apologetic at all for their fanatacism. I think they will sheepishly say “My heart was in the right place” but I hope they kick themselves in the ass for taking two minute showers and being stinky for a decade.
