Baby at the Vineyard

For mid August, the weather sure has been acting like Late September. This past weekend Northern Virginia was under partly cloudy skies and a low-humidity 80 degrees. It was perfect for picnics, barbecues and visiting wineries. We did all three.

We are still getting the hang of the whole parenthood thing and are trying not to let an infant keep us tied to the house.  So far the secret seems to be patience and being prepared.  So we hit the road yesterday to visit friends and partake of the vine. Cartney, who just turned 2 months old, was very well behaved the entire time and provided lots of smiles for his Mommy, as evidenced below.
