The Coolest Book For Boys Ever
My wife and I were puttering around Borders Books last night and I stumbled across the most awesome book for boys and their fathers ever written. It is like a combination of a boy scout’s manual and the book of knowledge that all boys find fascinating. It is The Dangerous Book for Boys by Conn and Hal Iggulden.
I spent too much on it, but you can get it cheaper at Amazon by clicking here or on the book below.
The book has a list of the seven wonders of the ancient world, how to tie the most important knots, and how to talk to girls. The book also includes:
The Greatest Paper Airplane in the World
Stickball
Slingshots
Fossils
Building a Treehouse
Making a Bow and Arrow
Fishing
Timers and Tripwires
Baseball’s “Most Valuable Players”
Famous Battles-Including Lexington and Concord, The Alamo, and Gettysburg
Spies-Codes and Ciphers
Making a Go-Cart
Navajo Code Talkers’ Dictionary
Cloud Formations
The States of the U.S.
Mountains of the U.S.
Navigation
The Declaration of Independence
Skimming Stones
Making a Periscope
The Ten Commandments
Common US Trees
Timeline of American History
I had never heard of this book before, but it turns out that this was a huge bestseller in Britain last year, and it even spurred lots of copycat books.
I heard an interview with the author on Ron and Fez and few weeks ago. It actually sounds like a really cool book.
