Oh Dear God!! Is That??!! Goatse for Sale

A gaping red piece of Internet lore is up on the auction block.  The domain of goatse.cx is going for sale, and according to BoingBoing, it is to help a friend pay for some legal bills that resulted from a MySpace hack.

Goatse has been around since the beginning of the internet, blinding people with that god-forsaken red hole of torment.  It spurred the origin of three-letter chat acronyms such as OMG and WTF, and has also been the number one cause of workplace blindness.  Content filters and firewall blocks were invented just so sysadmins wouldn’t have to see those pictures.  Hackers are renowned for leaving the photo as a calling card.  And I have personally used that photo twice on resignation letters.
