Wine Tasting at Reston Town Center
We stopped in for the Great Grapes Wine Arts and Food Festival at Reston Town Center today. The price of admission was a little steep, the weather was not all that great, but the crowd still turned out. The plus side is there were unlimited tastings of wines from about a dozen Virginia vineyards.
The down side is my wife was not able to enjoy the wines. In fact, she thought it was most unfair since she was 8 months pregnant, and they featured some of her favorite wines.
I got to pick up a bottle of the Claret and a bottle of Tom Brook Red from North Mountain Vineyard. Some surprising wine was the Chardonnay from Lane Anna Winery. I plan on picking up a few bottles of that at the upcoming Virginia Renaissance Faire, which is held annually at their vineyard.
