William and Mary Caves; Cross Returned

I guess if you withhold millions of dollars, even multi-cultural ninnies start paying attention.  A cross is being put back in a church.  Seems like an obvious place to put a Christian religious symbol right?

WILLIAMSBURG — The College of William and Mary will put a brass cross back on daily display in the school’s Wren Chapel following a recommendation by a college committee reviewing how religious symbols should be displayed at public universities.

The unanimous compromise reached by the committee and approved by college President Gene Nichol says the cross will be displayed in a glass case, “in a prominent, readily visible place, accompanied by a plaque explaining the college’s Anglican roots and its historic connection to Bruton Parish Church.”

Last week, the college confirmed that a major donor had rescinded promises to donate a total of $12 million to the college because of the cross controversy.

Its in a glass case?  I hope the case is lexan, bolted to the floor and the key hidden from multi-culti University officials.
