Idiot Coach Accused of Abusing Kids

Meet Greg Burr. You may likely find him on the unemployment line in Colorado while he is awaiting trial for smacking his students repeatedly in the groin and exposing the kids to pornography. This joker had a real sense of humor. He would constantly shout “What is the capital of Thailand?” And whoever said “Bangkok” got hit in the nuts. Reason 643 why you should homeschool.

Ex-charter school coach charged with abusing players

A former high school basketball coach at a Monument charter school has been charged with dozens of counts of child abuse, sexual assault and other crimes. He is accused of repeatedly hitting male players in the groin, showing them pornography at his home, and dousing team members with water and exposing them to winter weather, according to court documents.

Gregory Lynn Burr, 28, faces 39 charges ranging from sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust to child abuse resulting in serious bodily injury for incidents taking place from September 2005 to March 2006 at The Monument Academy. He posted $10,000 bail on Dec. 14, court records show.

Burr is no longer employed at the school or its parent district. Burr?s wife, Sharalee Burr, was athletic director at the school, but she said Monday that she has been fired.

A student in documents said Burr would ask them, “What is the capital of Thailand?” When they would answer “Bangkok,” he would hit them in the groin.

Several students who played basketball under Burr accused him of regularly assaulting team members by striking them in the groin with his hand, basketballs and tennis balls, and then laughing, court documents said.

They “were the kind of hits that made you lay down,” one student said in the court report. Another student claimed he had scrotal surgery, which he believed was attributable to the trauma.

Team members said Burr, who provided transportation to and from games, poured water on them and rolled down the windows as he drove last winter.

At least two students accused Burr of showing them pornography at his home when they spent the night. The students said Burr showed them nude men with disfigured genitals and nude women with body piercings.

Wow Greg, you are a real class act. You know, MTV says you are not supposed to try the stunts you see on Jackass at home. And you really shouldn’t try it on the student athletes. And it makes you look really gay.
