SourceFire Goes Public
SourceFire filed papers with the SEC to go public yesterday. This is good news for the company, especially after the disappointment of the US Government nixing a buyout from Israeli company Checkpoint.
From Sourcefire’s Press Release here:
Open source innovator, Sourcefire, Inc., a leader in network intrusion prevention, today announced that it filed a registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission for an initial public offering of common stock. The number of shares to be offered and the price range for the offering have not yet been determined.
