Tom Petty

I had the great pleasure of seeing Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers in concert at Nissan Pavilion in Manassas on Saturday Night. The show was incredible, and Tom Petty played just about every song from his Best Of album. Petty entertained the huge crowd like the veteran showman that he is, and it made for an absolutely unforgettable night.

Stevie Nicks sang for two songs, one of which is the famous duet “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around,” and she stuck around onstage to play tambourine and sing backup.

It was my first time at Nissan Pavilion, and I was very impressed with the size and the quality of the venue. From the lawn seating, it is almost impossible to make out who is onstage, but the jumbotrons highlighted the onstage performances with excellent videography and directing.

My only complaint is the exhorbitant prices on the beer- 10 Bucks for a tallboy Budlight seemed criminal. Tailgating at Nissan is a must if you want to avoid paying the beer prices.
